Front driveshaft length?????
Front driveshaft length?????
Hey everyone, I am doing a slight performance upgrade on my 1994 B4000. I am looking for a new front driveshaft but I can't figure out which length I need. My son works at Orielly's and even their system has no explanation for why there are two different lengths that are less than 1" difference. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you.

Shouldn't be a difference, although 1994 Mazda B4000 was the FIRST YEAR that Ford took over building the B-series in the US, using Ranger chassis
So there could be some differences, 1993 and earlier B-series were imported
It should have a BW1354 transfer case with Yoke mount front drive shaft, used in Rangers 1990 to 1997: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...ransfer-cases/
Front driveshafts were the same length on regular cab or extended cab
Dana 35 or Dana 35 hybrid, front axle: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...les-1983-1997/

Thank you RonD for all the info, it is good to have this resource to fall back on and learn a little also. The problem I'm having is I don't know which length of drive shaft I have and they sell 2 different lengths. This is my daily driver and I don't want to remove the shaft to find out which one I need and put it back in while I wait for the new one to come in because they are order only.
