Sorry to drag up an old thread, but here goes anyway. I have a 98 4x4 extended cab 3.0 ranger. going with the above references i should have 10" rear brakes? blew a wheel cylinder on the way to work this morning and gonna tear into it this wknd and want the correct parts before i do.
thanks in advance for any assistance.
The size (in metric) is stamped on the drum, or just use the pic above. Check your parts at the store, I have bought rebuild kits twice and both times they came with mixed parts for 10" and 9" in the same box.
The new drum I purchased doesn't fit over the new shoes, I have no room for adjustment. I assume that if I bought 10" shoes, then it stands to reason to buy a 10" drum. Right? Any help would be appreciated
To bring up an old question, This can be misleading because I have a 9in drum with no fins. Measure the Inside Diameter of the drum or it is stamped in it like mine. Left top of pic. Or a 9in drum will measure exactly 10in outside to outside. Hope this helps someone.
