Slave cylinder swap to something stiffer??
Slave cylinder swap to something stiffer??
So i know some rangers had issues with slaves going out blah blah blah, i dont know if my year or model was one of them but i'm assuming no. now after driving many of my buddies other trucks (not rangers but tacos and 4runners and whatnot) i've come to the realization that they all have much much stiffer clutch pedals than my fx4 does and i like the way theirs feel much better. is there a slave cylinder that i could get that is valved heavier or something so that i get more resistance on the clutch pedal? if so where?
I believe all pre-04s have slave cylinder problems.
When I did my clutch on my 2000 I got the kit from Ford for my model. They revamped the slaves a few years back so they are much better. Stiffened the clutch right up. Much better.

Here is a good how-to-video

hmm , i was wondering the same thing , my clutch pedal seems to get alot of play in it every now and then and its so soft to push , but yet my 94 is so hard to push , i think i might look into this valve kit thingy
