I have a 1983 ford ranger 4x4 with a 2.8l with a automatic transmission. ok so i was driving the truck home and desided i was going to back into my driveway and when i went to put it in reverse it started to back up but then is stoped so i tryed to put it in drive and it didnt move so i tryed all the gears and it still didnt move. so im just tring to figure out what happend. Any ideas would help. Thanks

 

is there fluid under your truck? does your transmission have fluid in it?

 

yes it has fluid in it and no there isnt a fluid under it and i forgot to say its a 4x4

 

Could it be the transfer case,valve body,valve body gasket, touqe converter, any ideas would be nice.

 

kinda hard to do tell anything over the internet go have it looked at by someone
