Vibration when let off gas

Had a very bad pass side upper ball joint, like an inch of play, replaced that today and put new shocks on front. When I let off the gas at 40-45 or 65-70 mph I get a vibration, only when off the gas. Both front hubs are new last year drive shaft has new companion flange at different, front u joint new also. No play in front drive shaft, having tires balanced in morning, New tires may have 10k on them,

I have been trying to get this solved for a while and don't understand why it is doing this ,any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you 2002 xcab 4x4 4.0

Check motor mounts and transmission mounts.

You didn't mention what trans you have manual or auto?

Open hood
Set E-brake
Start engine
Put in forward gear
Let out clutch slowly(manual)
Give it a little gas
watch if engine lifts on one side

Engine will move a little in direction of torque but not alot

repeat test but in Reverse gear

If you feel the vibration in the steering wheel then yes, you could drop the front drive shaft to see if things improve.

Hi Ron, the vibration really isn't in the wheel, if I have changed in the cup holders it will vibrate enough to make them rattle, what do you think of having drive shaft balanced, it was not done after the new companion flange was put on, it was bad when I put it in and flipped it 180 and it was 50% better but I thought it was that bad ball joint, after replacing bad upper joint with new arm pass side it pulls to the left and I made caster on right more positive and still pulls, any thoughts?
