What rebuild kit
Don't have kit info
But always install a new FORD front pump(main pump)
Also Forward one-way clutch and Overdrive drum
Soft parts only fix, bands and clutches only, will insure trans will start to give you problems again in 12 to 18months
Many like the transgo shift kit for these transmissions

Cool
What do you mean by replace soft parts only? I am planning on getting a master kit amd replacing as much as posible......and by any chance do you know of a video for reassembly? I have rebuilt 4l30e on a Chevy or 2.......need a reassembly instructional!!!! Thanks
Soft parts are gaskets, seals, servos, bands and clutches, thats what most kits have, and what most rebuilders use, and why rebuilt trans will be back at the shop in 12-18 months, lol.
"Hard" parts are the pump, one-way clutch and OD drum which most shops do not change................because they would have no return business, lol.
Just google: 4R44E disassembly
The A4LD, 4R44E, 4R55E, 5R44E and 5R55E are all the same transmissions with minor differences, which is why most parts/kits list all 5 as compatible
The 4R and 5R used different Valve body than the A4LD, they had full solenoid shift control, A4LD just had TCC and 3/4 shift controls
