What's my diff?

I don't have any stickers in my door jamb but I saw the following on my tag attached to the differential housing.

L73 75 2F

I just wanted to confirm (I'm probably just refusing to accept it) that this would mean I have a open 7.5″ differential with 3.73 gears.

Kinda disappointed since I thought Edge's had 4.10's

Say it ain't so!

32's a 7.5 will be fine, it's when you get up there and push it hard off roading that you'd want the 31 spline rear

the ranger 8.8 and 7.5 both have the same 28-spline axle shafts (unles its an FX4 L2 rear), they are actually interchangeable. the 7.5 isn't NEARLY as weak as people make it out to be. how many failures have you seen and what failed? the only advantage the ranger 8.8 has is a larger ring and pinion and a larger carrier, and I've seen carriers break on both 7.5s and 8.8s

I need to find me some 3.73 LS gears.. If I had the right tools and knowledge i'd swap to an explorer axle with the disc brakes and everything
