"woomp" noise from front end.

Hello all. I changed my truck's front rotors and brake pads this morning and all seemed fine until this afternoon when I drove to pick my daughter up from school. I noticed upon a quick acceleration from a stop, the truck made a quick "woomp" or "oowoom" noise similar to the sound of tires peeling out, maybe mixed with metal sliding on metal (the truck was not actually spinning any tires during this), which led me to believe the brakes were maybe sticking. I pulled everything back apart when we got home, making sure everything was greased properly (pins, shims and pad springs) none of the brake lines were twisted, and that everything was pushing and retracting as intended, and found no issues. So I drove around a bit more, trying to replicate this sound. Noting that only slightly harder than normal acceleration caused this noise from the front right wheel area. The noise is quick, and does not continue as I drive, and wheels are not too hot to the touch after driving around.

I used the emergency brake to come to a stop, as well as rolling to a stop to try to remove the front brakes from the equation, but neither of that made a difference. This makes me think that it may be something other than the brakes. I usually don't drive the truck with the radio off, and I am fairly light footed and easy on the truck, so I may just now be noticing this sound, but since I was tinkering with things up front today I am a bit more paranoid that something is wrong. If anyone can shed some light or has any input on this issue, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The truck is a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab 4x4 5-speed, with only 56,250 miles on the clock.

Update from this morning, the best way to describe the noise would be if you were to slide a metal legged table across the floor, but just a split second and goes away.
