Hello, I'm new to the forum.
I recently decided that, instead of selling my 2008 4.0 Ranger Sport, I'm going to rehabilitate it. The bed is fully rusted out and there are electrical problems (to be detailed in another post), but I'm looking to replace the bed. That said, I've been told that I can ONLY replace it with another 2008 bed. intact 2008 sport beds are not easy to find where I am, and especially not in the same color.
My questions come down to this:
1.) Is it true that it's not viable to put an older bed on a newer Ranger?
2.) How hard is making a flat bed?
3.) Any advice for finding a new(er) bed?
4.) Any advice in general?

From what I can find
If your "Sport" has the wheel well moulding, 06 to 09 will fit and match, and that's just so the style of moulding matches.

If you don't care about the moulding matching,or having moulding at all, anything from 93 to 09 will fit

Colors from other years may not match your color, i.e. "white" is not exactly the same white year to year

Flat beds are for specific uses, they are not very practical for general use
