Basically I have this desire to go back to a stock type grill, I have had a billet grill for 4 years and its time for a change.

I'm looking for either a white 98-00 grill or something white that will fit. I would love to stick an '08ish grill on my truck but I'm not sure if it will fit. I know Edge style grills won't fit because of the hood, and I'm pretty sure 01-03 won't fit because of the little 'wings' under the lights. But it looks to me like 04+ XLT and a lot of 08's will work.

I've never researched this before so ANY help is appreciated!

your stuck with a 98-00 grille.... check out ebay, they have a bunch of stock chrome ones...

what are you doing with the billet?

 

replacing the headlights too?

I dont see why the new ones wouldnt fit. can the dealer order one for u to try?

 

The newer style wont fit. 98-00 is what you're stuck with, like Jeff said..

I'll assume you mean the 01-03 grills. No, while the hood does fit better when from an 01-03, it won't affect the grill at all. I've still got my 99 hood with the 01 grill and headlights.

You'd need a new header panel from an 01-03 truck plus 01 headlights and corners and of course the grill to swap out the front at a bare minimum. Hood, bumper and valance will give you the full swap.

Definitely an easy swap and it's been covered to death. RPS has a really good write up on in their Tech articles. Only thing I can say is make sure you get the 01-03 headlight clips out of a junkyard. Junkyard gave them to me free while a dealership wanted 12 bucks a clip (gotta buy 4 of them).
