The ones I used were some cheap 9leds strips that I bought off ebay. The color is amber. Basically for a write up follow this - How to: Mirror mounted turn signals but use my pictures to mount the lights inside the mirror. I used some epoxy to secure the strips inside the mirror. Another tip, make sure you leave enough slack in the wire for when if ever you fold in the mirror. Also makes sure when you mount the led strip that it is far enough back into the housing to give the mirror full range of motion. Any other questions just ask.

I have a question, maybe already asked but anyway I´ll post it:

When finished the LED install, the light than can be seen is through the mirror itself? or just from the gap between the housing and the mirror? (Reflection)

I saw the video several times and because the quality I´m not shure about this.

Nice mod by the way

some help installing LED's

Chris.
I just got mine installed, It looks and works great. I found a easy way to remove the mirror glass.

Push in the outboard side of the mirror to pivot mirror fully inward.
You can see the clips that hold the mirror; I used a bent pick to lift up (release) each clip easily.
between the mirror and and the backplate motor mount. Slowly and carefully pry up against clips until mirror unsnaps. Don't Drop the glass mirror..
I also grounded the LED at the mirror post inside, that way you only have to run one wire to the signal.
I found it best to remove the knee panel under the steering wheel, I removed the metal cover and discarded it. The turn signal wire harness has a white connecter that runs down from the steering colunm and the right & left turn wires are easy to connect to that the connector.

the Lots of hits on this thread,
thanks chris
