I miss my old Chrome XLT bumpers and I was wondering how hard it is to swap them out. I presume they are the same style, one's painted, one's chrome.

 

should be pretty easy, tho the boltsd i believe have lok tight crap on them so they maybe a bit of a btch to get out

 

I removed a pair of front tow hooks from a smashed up Edge. They had orange loktite on them. Mother of God....

 

Dude if you wanna swap bumpers with me, I will definately swap with you, I have the XLT chrome with the gray palstic valance. I dont have the lights mounted on it anymore BTW. And i am not to far from raleigh either

yeah the thread lock really sucks. i had to take my bumper and tow hooks off to mount my waag bar. good luck though, fairly simple.

 

I think he just wants the chrome part....

Its not too hard, but like everyone elese was saying, Ford locktight's the sh*t out of the bolts. Just take your time with it.

 

I have never done it but I have seen the chrome part on a few Edges I know there is somebody on here with a red Ranger w/ the chrome bumper and it looks pretty sweet, If you get the oppertunity, DO IT!

 

Hell i will even trade hoods and grilles if you want LOL

 

Wow, thanks for the offer. Um, I just want the chrome part. The problem is whoever had my truck before I purchased it used messed up the rear bumper, the the one currently on the truck is a replacement, and needs touchup work. I wouldn't want to trade with someone and have him getting the short end of the deal...that's not right.
