I want to swap power windows and locks doors onto my 99 ranger Quadcab which has manual windows and locks. Any idea what 9is involved in this swap. Will I need switch harness from other truck

 

The rear doors can stay as is, the front doors can as well if you just want to swap guts, i.e. regulator, door lock, and door panel

The front door size is the same 1993-2011 if you want to swap the doors, 2 or 4 door doesn't matter

The power windows just need 12volts at each door(through a FUSED relay) and 2 wires from drivers door to passenger door so master switch can control passenger window
So not much is needed
Yes you would want the door panels with switches and the wiring that runs to the kick panel on each side, that's where you would splice wires

The door locks are another thing entirely, if you just want power locks with button then doesn't take much, 12v and ground at each door
If you want keyless entry then that requires a lot more wiring, you are better off buying a 3rd party keyless entry kit

1995 and up Rangers have a Body Computer, this runs the power windows and door locks, and keyless entry via RAP module
GEM is the body computer 1995-2003, its behind the radio

Yes, you would need new GEM for your year and its wiring harness for the cab, plus new relay box 1 with the power window relays and door lock relays

Factory Door lock wiring in the diagram, 1995-2003 are the same
