Baggin' Process

These pics are for those guys who don't get over to RPS as often as they should. This is the rear setup progress that was just completed before starting the front for a full body drop.

Yeah, I'll add a small filler neck and mount to the cell which I'll make flush with the sheet metal flooring.

That looks sharp! 2-links have always made me a little... i donno weird I guess. It seems to me the axle is never constrained as much as it should be. But it always seems to work out well enough! Keep at it man.

Yeah, after this is done needs to be dragged HARD!! I'm hoping to get everything ready and back on the road by Winter Cruise at Myrtle Beach. But, looks like I may not make it, time will tell. I'll be using a chrome 5 gal 8port tank and an engine driven compressor with 3/8 valves all around. Nothing impressive but gets the job done.

looks like a good start

Why are the shocks where they are at? As close to the front of the link as those shocks are they wont limit travel but they also wont do much damping either....

Ahhh I see em now, they're on the outside of the frame. Some bagged trucks do use a 2-link of some sort don't they? I swear I've seen them before...

The shocks are mounted where they are because we used stock front shocks off of an S-10 since we needed a shorter shock and they were laying around. This was the only place that we could mount them to make them work correctly as the truck lifts and lowers. It serves and does it's purpose well..

gearhead, lots of ppl run a 2 link. theres nothing wrong with a 2link that is set up correctly as long as ya dont hit sides or get too much side to side movement of the axle.

Yeah side-to-side motion is what never really worked out right in my head.

The front is in the works now. I'm doing a Toyota front swap with new ball joints and drop spindles with the bags to help with camber. I'll be using the stock flooring and raising it.
