Some of the measurments dont make sense like on the green parts the top cant be only 2" and is the center red part made of a 2x5 piece and a 2x2 piece. also the yellow parts are made of 2 pieces so is the top piece of the yellow part a 2x4 piece of metal?

I want to build this bumper but I also want to be able to put a winch on it. Does anyone see why I wouldn't be able to put a winch behind the bumper?

Steel characteristics?

Hi I am wondering what gauge steel you used for this build?

Also I have begun drafting a modified version of your great design in solidworks. It fashions a winch mounting location in the middle instead of the front hitch receiver. Anyone who is interested in the designs can PM me.

I have a 1991 Ford Ranger and I'm looking for custom front and rear bumpers. I like ARB and Iron Cross but I cant find a company that makes them for the 1991. Has anyone else found a fabricator that makes them for the 91 Ranger?

Thanks,

Paul

There really aren't many options for a ranger. You're better off making your own or if you have some fabrication skills you can custom fit one to your truck. I custom mounted a trail gear bumper made for a Toyota pickup to my truck. Not hard but definitely took some time.

Unfortunately I have zero welding skills. One of my neighbors can weld ...if I can get all the parts together he might do it. I bought my last custom winch bumper for my 96 taco from Bentup dot com and love it. I see alot of fabrictors making them for the newer rangers just not the older ones like 1991.

c4x4 has some bumper for rangers. Go check out mikeriders build thread. I think it's titled, "project search and rescue"

if you were closer I could try and hook you up with building one. But by your location it seems like you are on planet Zebulon, and that sounds far away.

This is f**king awesome. Thank you so much for posting these pictures. As soon as the lift I ordered gets in, I will be having a bumper fab'ed. This will save me some time and money!!! This is exactly what I was looking for.
