The engine has been out and on the stand for a couple of months waiting for a few mods. I've been busy with other stuff so progress has been slow.

G-tech has a fairly accurate g-force dyno on it, if you own an iphone, there is an app that works like a g-tech, except that i got mine for free, and it will give you wheel hp and flywheel hp

So.. you tape a phone to your dash, and go go go - and you trust it to actually give you accurate wheel horsepower, AND crank horsepower?

Emmm yeah.. theres a reason it takes a specialized machine to strap onto to get proper readings ya know -laughs-

Sidenote: Is there a program on the Iphone to add a supercharger to my truck too?

the phone app is designed for quarter mile times, but with the g-forces and acceleration, and weight of the vehicle, combined with the power loss through the drivetrain, it can give an estimate, which is generally fairly accurate, it's not going to be perfect, and if any of the numbers you enter are wrong it's going to throw it all out, so yeah...

with the data from a time slip at the track, plus weight, an educated person can roughly estimate (within about 10%) the power of a motor

i think there is one... it's called "iblow"

Nice find. I wasn't around here when this thread was alive. That's a sweet swap.
