I just tried out some SMDx5 plugins in my gauge cluster. They were WAY too f'ing bright. I repeat...smd PLUGINS that were WAY WAY TOO BRIGHT. I couldn't stand it. It was to the point where it was annoying after 5 minutes of driving around at night. They had no hotspots at all, but they were so damn bright that i ripped my dash apart again the next day to put my regular led plugins back in. Which dont have any hotspots either but are dimmer and very nice looking. Suck on that jp7

The 220 degree bulbs w/ 5 led's work great in the speedometer cluster w/ no hot spots. I put the 360 degree smd's in my HVAC and yes they are too bright. I also have the 220 degree bulbs w/ 5 led's in my Neon cluster and they work beautifully in there as well.

thats the thing. It's not obvious at all. thats the whole point of this converstation. On paper your gauge cluster work is more intricate but in real life it doesnt yield superior results at all next to SMD plugins. So once again, i have to point out that you're a blowhard and full of sh*t.

you must be referring to me, the guy who's proud not to have that knowledge due to never needing it (thank you PNP's!) and due to having more worthy things to do with my life.

So you can take that superiority complex and shove it right up your ***
