1994 ranger 4.0 compatability

whats up guys, i got my 1994 ranger 4.0 auto, its got 178000 miles on it. it runs great and shifts great but my question is will a newer sporttrac or ranger engine and trans bolt in if i got one? it seems like its the same front clip from 94 to present, just wondering because its got high milage and i come across wrecked newer rangers and sport tracs with good drivetrains

it will take some modification....there will be some small mods to the engine mounts and some major modification to the wiring harness to work.....not to mention modifications to the fuel system..

i would rebuild the 4.0 OHV and re-install it..
