my truck is a "2007" but its build date was 1/2007 so the head unit in it and audio system is technically a 2006...

my truck is currently at my installers who's doing the cruise control and a number of other things as far as electronics go...

I asked him to install an ipod integration kit that allows the factory head unit to control the ipod... problem is the system works best with a 2007 or higher head unit.

is it possible for me to install a 2007 head unit right into the truck? (hopefully plug and play)
my current stereo is just in dash CD, with the Aux port

 

07 head unit should bolt right in no problem.
Didn't think there was that big of a difference between the two. I mean 2006 and up models are the last generation of ranger most things should be interchangeable.
