hey so im rebuilding this 2004 ranger its got the 7ft bed which needs replacing im trying to find a used one in a scrap yard but i need to know what years and beds will fit does it have to be a long bed or can i use the regular 6ft bed? also is it true any bed from 94 + will work ?
mazda beds interchange. I don't think you can use a 6 footer because the wheel well might be in a different spot, but measure one and check.

It has to be a 7' bed because the frame is longer. Or you can cut down the frame if you're skilled enough. The wheel's are in the same position for either size bed.

I can cut but where would it need to be Cut? are all the bolt holes in the same place and trim some of the frame off the back or do I need to cut and reweld the frame to take some out? Originally Posted by Moist

Ranger Long beds have the rear axle 6" farther back, so no other bed will fit
1993 and up Regular cab and extended cab Rangers all used the same 6ft beds, only the long bed Rangers were different
Yes, 1994 and up Mazda B-series used same bed size as Rangers
You can bolt the regular 6ft bed on it, but there would have to be a 6" gap between cab and bed so the wheel wells line up, bumper at the rear would also stick out 6"
