95 Ford Ranger strange clunking sound.

I am not sure if this is the right location to post this i apologize! On my way home last night my 95 ford ranger(2.3) started making a strange sound in the back of the truck, brakes only seem to be working in the front and i can hear a constant clunk clunk sound when driving and the back of the truck seems to be going all over the road, any ideas what this could be? So far i've been told the lug nuts on the back tire could be loose, but that didnt seem to account for the lack of brakes. Could it be possible the internals of one of the drums broke apart and that is causing the sound + wobble when i am driving?

Welcome to the forum

Yes, that would be the place to start
Block front wheel so vehicle can't roll
Jack up rear wheel and put transmission in Neutral, engine OFF
Spin the wheel
Repeat for other rear wheel

Check brake master cylinder for fluid loss, sure sign of a brake issue

oddly enough my wheel bearing was completely gone causing the wheel to barely get any brakes, i think that may have been tripping the abs since the wheel had almost free movement, will report back if that is what caused it
