Bought a 95 Ranger to save on fuel for work was doing an oil change and noticed these vaccum lines rotted out so i replaced what i could but the line that goes into this box is tapered need to know what this is so i can get the right line. Ok well i cant seem to post a picture but the vacuum line comes out from under the intake someplace and goes to like some check valves into a box on the driver side frame rail right in frond of fender well it has 2 caps on it i took them off and it has a green screen in there then the line goes under the truck back tword the fuel tank it kinda follows the fuel lines. I will keep trying to post a picture.

 

The black box is the EVAP charcoal canister

EVAP system sucks air(gasoline vapor), out of the gas tank while you are driving and gas is sloshing around, to prevent it from polluting the air

When you open gas cap to fill up you should hear a "HISSSS" if EVAP system was working
