96 ranger, airbag light comes on when I start the truck, does not blink just a steady light, checked fuses and are good, do not have a passenger bag that I know of. Any advice would be a great help

 

Check connectors under drivers seat, unplug them and plug them back in.

Could also be a fault in the clockspring wire under the steering wheel, does the horn work and if you have cruise control do those buttons on the steering wheel work?

 

there aren't any connectors under the seats in a 96 related to the air bag system. usually, they blink, but without it blinking, it's hard to say what's wrong. i assume it is staying on?
