Icon10 No more car payments yay!

Just paid off my old 04 ranger. Once the title comes in it'll be for sell. It'll be sad to see it go, but it's been replaced by a much better truck lol.

It's been a fun 6 years with this truck, but it'll be time to move on!

new one would look much better minus brushguard and running boards. Not bad otherwise.

Sweet! I haven't had a car payment in 4 years. Liberating feeling isn't it. Now I throw my car payments into savings and investments. I will be able to pay cash for every car I buy for the rest of my life now that I am saving like this.

Both serve their purpose. Step bars are for my mom and fiance both are 5 foot nothing. Brush guard is for the deer that often love running in front of my vehicles. My fiance lives out in the sticks.

Luckly because my father was a smart man. I was able to get another mustang and not have to worry about a payment on it.

Yes it is. I spent the last 7 years with a car payment. Mostly the ranger, but I had other cars too. Feels nice not having to worry about it.

I've only got 19 more payments out of 60 total, so I'm doing pretty good for me. Once it's paid off, I'm planning on keeping the truck about 5 years and take a break from monthly payments.

I financed a very small portion of my '03 last month, will have it paid off by next summer. Since I've had my work vehicle for the last few years, we were allowed to use it as our own personal vehicle also. Since that was the case, I sold my '07 F150 because we never drove it and only had to pay on one vehicle (our Lincoln MKX for the wife) and put more money into savings. Now that they are taking away the personal use (due to someone in the company taking advantage of the privelage and not being honest) I had to get a weekend vehicle. Didn't feel like spending $30K+ on a new truck that would spend the majority of the time in the garage so the '03 with only 58K on the clock fit the bill just fine. Once we're done with that payment, we can start again with putting that into savings. It sucks signing that paper for a loan.....haha

Whoever says financing is better than paying cash is retarded. Even if it's only .01% you are still essentially being charged to spend money. Charged to spend money. No. Tarded.

We were always lucky enough that my dad had a work vehicle. We always jest had my moms car payment and hers has been paid for a few years. My dads last vehicle purchase was 1985! Plus, he doesn't have to pay for gas or insurance. We figured, with his $40,000 truck with the V8 and insurance his company basically gives us $15k a year.

Congrats man!

I've never experienced a vehicle payment until I purcahsed the Ranger 6 months or so ago. Its not very fun paying! I miss not having one. But the Ranger is worth it to me...so its all good.
