this is my question. i have an 01 wich is def covered by the recall, but seeing as how my truck is a salvage title, does ford still honor recalls on salvage vehicles?

This recall covers vehicles with salvage titles too. If anyone tells you differently, ask them to reread the dealer letter.

my truck doesnt even have cruise control and i had the recall done on it...lol...the service writers were telling me "per oasis your truck doesnt even have cruise" so i made them go look and as they saw the pods on the steering wheel and were even more lost i told them "i just installed it about an hour ago, didnt you see i had my truck in the shop?" LOL

thanks again to rwenzing for all the help with the CC install, best mod i ever did!

odd, i received a notice for this about 15 months ago. took it in, had it corrected. took about 15 minutes. i think i got the notice early because i'm from MN and since the Plant is here, they wanted the MN rangers to be fixed first... J/K

The recall has included 01s and 02s for a long time. The 03s were just added.

I have a 1996 ranger but it is NOT included in the recall even though the recall specifies 95-97, go figure.

You shouldn't need a notice. Just call ahead to make sure they have the parts and then make a service appointment.
