Another tough little truck testiment

I went out to a little off road spot not far from home today. Basically what it is is a suspension test facility and mud arena. My buddy Spencer called me up to tell me he got his dirt bike up and running and he wanted to go out to ride. So I jump in my truck, meet him out there and proceed to watch him ride while I'm hitting a couple mud pits. My buddy Eric arrived in his Ranger not too far behind us and watched. None of us had our camera's. I'm cruising along and I see a nice pit full of water, So I think "hmm I wonder if I can make it..." I get in, water is up to the middle of my hubs when I feel the front end drop bringing the water level rise dramatically. By now I see the wave in front of the truck heading away at a height just over the hood of my truck had it decided to come back over, so I throw the truck into reverse and floor it. I get maybe 4 ft and nothing... crap. Drop into drive thinking ok, so I'll rock it a little... go forward, feel the front drop again and throw it into reverse. Just as I get stuck the second time I grab my phone to call Eric and Spencer to come hurry their happy asses up to pull me out before the water comes back and causes major issue, they come over, throw some stuff under and start gauging the water level on the front of my truck, Finally after rocking 7-8 times I got out of it. Went back to where Spencer had parked his Ranger (all 3 of us have em) get out and scope out the damage, the water line was over my bumper starting to get in to danger zone with the airbox by a good 3/4 of an inch.

Just another reason I hate mud and water.

A little later my buddy Zack showed up in Ol Hoopdy (84 S-10 blazer rust bucket) and kept killing it, so we snagged Eric's Ranger and took it on the dirt track and proceeded to drift and throw it around.

These trucks are phenominal!!! Every day mine proceedes to amaze me.... now to get the water outta the carpet...

I did the same thing 2 weeks ago, saw a little pit that I had been in before and said screw it. I had 3 inches of water in my cab, good thing I dont have carpet. If I would have sunk on the passenger side it would have sucked up some water. That day I learned that posi doesnt help if your tires arent on the ground.
