Start looking for a phantom current draw. And have the battery tested.

Click, click click, when key is turned to START means starter motor is drawing more amps than the cables and battery can provide

So could be dirty connections at battery positive OR negative, or dirty connection on these cables connections to starter or engine block(ground)

OR

Low voltage on new battery

New battery is 12.8volts
3 year old battery is 12.5volts
5/6 year old battery is 12.3volts, and time to shop for battery sales

dead or dying battery is 12.2volts or lower

New battery can be self draining, bad from battery maker
Or you could have left lights on, or something else in the vehicle is on when it shouldn't be, so battery drains to fast

Use a Volt Meter to test

I think leaving the hood up all week is what drew down the battery. Theres probably a hood light thats burned out or missing. Thats the theory anyway. Im gomma go out and search for it bht a friend is loaning me his charger so...it could be worse.

If a lamp is burned out or missing, it can't draw any current.
