Clutch

I have had myy 99 Ranger for a few weeks now and it seems to be getting harder to shift. Especially 1 and reverse. Ideas?

Is the clutch reservoir losing fluid?

There is a rubber diaphragm in the reservoir that you need to pull out to check fluid level, some have poured fluid into diaphragm before, if so pull it out and empty it, or pour that fluid into reservoir

And "harder to shift"???
So only when stopped with engine running, "its hard to shift"
But with engine off it shifts fine?

I will check this stuff. Only thing I can say so far is it starts out fine. The more I drive the harder shifting gets. Downshifting seems ok tho. Odd huh. I will get back to you on those questions.

it shifts fine with engine off. Diaphragm is pliable and not filled with fluid. Fluid level is full.
