Manual or automatic trans?
If manual put trans in 1st gear, block tires and use a breaker bar and socket
If automatic there are two ways
Disable coil packs, unplug their 3 wire connectors so no start
Put socket on pulley bolt
Put breaker bar on socket and its end on under side of passenger frame rail
Starter motor will turn pulley/crank clockwise, so breaker bar under passenger side frame rail will hold bolt in place, and unscrew it(counter clockwise)
Activate starter motor in short bursts
2nd way
Pull out Easiest spark plug to get to
Put a rope down the spark plug hole, just a bit maybe 5"
Turn crank counter clock wise until rope is pushed up to top of cylinder by piston, piston can go no farther so engine is now locked
Rope won't hurt piston or valves
Turn crank bolt to loosen it
Before taking off pulley turn it a bit clockwise and pull out the rope
