Whats this custom paint job going to look like?

 

except vista blue instead of black, and fx4 dsg lower

Should look good!! I want do the same with my hood but black. I might just paint the grille and do the hood in vinyl.

ya, it's been in the shop 3 weeks today... :(

 

So we are 1 business day away from a month... But here is how it looks... They are having issues with the new bumper mounts...

 

not sure why i didn't post these pics a week ago... but here it is, back from the shop...









these last 3 are my favourite from the day i picked the truck up... in order, the last being the most favourite

 

i just realized no one said "oh wow, truck looks great!' or "yay! glad you got your truck back!|

The 04-05 front bumper on it looks weird. Maybe its the lighting but it looks like the valance needs to be black to match the flares.

 

But then it wouldn't match the gray on the side of the truck

 

LOL thats probably why it should of had an 06-07 front bumper then. I don't know it just looks weird cause you can see the valance blends in well with the lines of the flares but then the color doesn't match. Just my opinion. I love the 06+ front bumper/covers thats why I have an 08 bumper sitting at my body mans shop.

Yea, fix your headlight, and get your flares painted DSG, then it'll look great. I never knew you wrecked your truck, but it looks good now.

 

i painted the headlights, and the corner (although i kinda heated it a little too much, and warped it, so i thought "hell, i can just heat it again, and re-shape it!" and i heated it again, and it shrunk... :(

indeed, there is a thread around somewhere that shows the issues with painting the hood, so it goes back in early next week for new paint on the hood... they wet sanded it today, with no luck taking the basecoat ****up out (big surprise)
