Faster?
this thread is silly! "how do i make my car go faster?" meaning.... faster than 55? faster than 70? faster than 100?.... faster than a Ferrari?
first off you have a truck, not a car. 2nd, your too vague on what you want.

If you want a fast Ranger youre going to have to do extensive engine modifications.
Like D. said, check out his and Nicks profile.
i got 1996 V6 3L with one engine mod (mass air flow sensor),a new grille, new head unit, 4 new speakers, but now im thinking bout the engine and what can be done. im not doing a cold air intake cause its too much of a hassle for my truck and its not worth it. i was thinking a TBS but im hearing they suck, now im thinking new headers, but they seem impossible to find, the ones i did find were like $650, but the 4L ones were like $275, which pisses me off. one of my boys told me i should do titanium pistons and rings, which i know nothing about. should i raise my truck and save for new rims & tires before i do engine mods.
i want my Truck to be fast cause ive been doing a little street racing for fun, but i want to get more serious with it, but i dont have the patience to save for a tuner car and all its mods. so i know this guy thats got a ranger with mad mods in his engine ****s up these little civics and cars like that and he wont tell me how he does it
i'd do the lift kit and wheels before any engine mods...imo pistons/ rings not worth it personally had bad luck with a tuner but most people here had good luck with them...past that...exhaust, underdrive pulley and maybe efan...i think fred has quite a few hings for the 3.0 vulcan if not mistaken... though VERY hard to make a ranger competitive short of some kind of forced induction ie turbo supercharger or nitrous or going to a v8 imo

wouldn't do pistons....underdrive pulley http://www.stuffforyourranger.com/st...&cPath=4_30_36 and efan is electric fan in place of mechanical fan
