A few issues im having with my 2.3
Hey yall just finished doing a timing belt on my ranger. I also did the driver side motor mount while it was under the knife. Before i go confusing you all im having a few small issues and wanted to see what u guys thought it was.
first startup after doing the belt it sounded like crap, choppy throttle I thought forsure it was a tooth out of time, I drove it down the road and it had plenty of power and when I came back to the shop the choppiness went away. I figured it could have something to do with the oil pump? Maybe it took a second to get it primed or something. My other issue im having is while im turning. If I turn the wheel 1 revolution to the right or left it like stops. And I have to force it to keep going. Now im thinking it could be when we did the motor mount that motor mount bracket was awful close to some components that run behind the power steering pump. Im almost thinking when I turn its hitting it? Have any of you ever experienced this before? One last thing I noticed is ill be going down the road and my speedometer will jump. Normally when I try to keep it at a constant speed it will jump up 10 and down 10mph and then go back. Itll do it abunch or sometimes it doesnt do it. Thats very confusing not sure what I could have messed up to cause the speedo to go crazy like that. If you have any ideas on what the solutions could be any advice is much appreciated
