I bought a metro-pass for school. 25$ for the month. No parking worries at all.

Food for thought to everyone :

The average gallon of gas has 42cents a gallon in taxes from state/feds on it. Deduct that tax, and people would be a lot better off.

4.75$/gallon or more in most of Europe. 6.50$/gallon in Amsterdam.

So long as we consume foreign oil, we have little to no control of the costs and the markets will determine what we all pay. If OPEC says oil is going for 150$ a barrel tomorrow, we see 8$/gallon ( or whatever price increase comes with it ).
Its not Bush, Not our congress, but our own limiting of our own resources that has caused a good portion of these price increases.

In europe they sell by the liter.. I do believe before I left for here, it was around 2.10+ a liter...
so... There is roughly 3.8L to the 1G, so that comes out to what... almost $8 a gallon... yeah, pretty much it sucks to fill up if you dont have any of the aafes gas coupons
EDIT:
The one good thing about iraq?! Gas is FREE!!!! lol

yeah.. On base its usually around the same as back in the states ( an average i think...) and we can buy gas coupons at aafes so we can get gas off base for the same price on base..

I payed 3.51 for Regular today, and that was the cheapest I've seen... Its 4.15 for diesel...
Oh yeah, its expensive over there... When we were in the UK over Christmas, it was going for 1.15GBP a liter. Which roughly equals $8.70 a gallon with the current exchange rate! But remember, they get much higher Octane gas then we do, and tend to have much more fuel efficient cars...

Yeah, it was pretty cheap out here in the Hesperia (I live in Victorville) region a couple weeks ago. It just keeps going up though. I believe we will see $5.00 a gallon this year, and it will probably happen here (Cali) first.
EDIT: Hey, you live in Granada Hills? I used to work over there frequently off of the 118 and Balboa. Just go north on Balboa and it was past the McDonalds and Subway that's on the right. I also was working out in Canoga.
