19.5 gallons for sure on 01+ ext cabs.. check your owners manual

in addition: reg cab long beds get the 19.5gal as well
but reg cab short beds are 16.5

yeah you can go for quite a while on the gas light, I did it numerous times in my 2000 lol But stocker gas gauges arent all that accurate down south of 1/2 tank anyways

i have an 02 exted cab, and i have the 16 gallon. Yes, i am possitive i don't have the 19.5. After the last time this question came up, i ran my tank 30 miles on the check fuel light. Went to fill up and could only fint 15.6 gallons before it started to overflow. So i would say MOST ext. cabs have the 19.5 but i guess the factory only had the 16 gallons the day my truck was made.

I swear my SuperCab Edge has a 16 gallon tank. I've never been able to get more than 16 gallons in it at a time. This is when I remove it and find out it's been hauling coke, haha.

I'd prefer a 20 gallon tank, but at least the 16 is cheaper to fill
