Hey y'all, I have been looking at this 1996 2.3L Ranger that is for sale online and I am unsure if it is equipped with A/C and power steering.

I know it's a XL so those things were not standard, but I see on the climate control selectors that A/C is an option, but I don't actually see the compressor in the engine bay photo in the listing.
I was hoping those of you familiar with this engine and year could tell me what this truck was equipped with.

It has an AC heater/blower box on the firewall and AC hoses, so it came from the factory with AC, for sure
Could be the compressor and bracket were removed at some point in the past

If it has AC, like the above, then it will have power steering

Guess it would make a parts truck

Makes you wonder what else is missing,
probably won't pass CA safety inspection

Yea it's already at an auction. $1,500 now but because it's a super shady auction it already has passed SMOG, probably through their own testing station, but that means it's good for 2 years on the road here. We don't do safety inspections.
Not looking for something nice, but something decent enough. A/C is a must though in California so I was surprised it had A/C written on the climate controls but the compressor looked to be missing.
I was just thinking Ford cheaped out and used the same climate controls for all trucks, A/C or not.
