horn makes funny noises

My horn seems to be doing some irratic things lately and i am wondering if it has to do with either heat or low battery voltage.

I drive it short distances where the truck never really gets hot where the fan needs to run during this time and it sounds fine.

If i drive 30 miles in traffic, fan has been on and off voltage gauge has dropped down some and the whole truck is just really warm. The horn is so quiet and sounds like it died. or there is a really low voltage on the battery. funny thing is it will sit there for several hours and start just fine, so the voltage cant be that low....

So whats up with this? Is it heat related? Or voltage related?

mine does the same thing. It'll randomly just not want to honk when i hit the lock button, then hit the panic button and all it does is flash the lights. I'll come back later and everything is normal.

One problem I've recently encountered is on my right turn signal, i'l click it on, it'll click for 2 clicks than make a long click, the buld won't show on the instrument panel. I'll click it off and back on and it works fine.

In my 01 after I went hunting and had to get through some deep mud it sounded like a donkey. I swear if you hit the panic button it would have two different tones and it would sound like "HEE-HAW" It was amusing to me so I never fixed it.

Thanks Biz. I picked it up on the cheap a few years ago as a project/fun car. I keep it around for the occasional high-rev driving session.
