My 2008 Ranger has the manufacturer suggested bulbs. Running with an empty bed, those are aimed so that my desired night forward vision is not well illuminated. I added LED lights to the bumper access holes, and they widen the view, but not to the front. Compared to our Prius, the lighting is substantially substandard. I don't want to blind oncoming traffic, but I do want to see the deer in the road soon enough to take evasive action. (This is from driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway at night and having some close calls even at the 45 mph speed.) Can any of you advise on how to make my Ranger safer for my night driving?
These have greatly improved night vision, are direct replacements in the stock fixtures, & lasted now 7+ years.
Also live in a rural area with Deer\Elk\Moose a constant; this time of year in FallRutt, Bucks are extra stupid crossing roads.
Hope this helps.
