Instrument cluster
Quick Question are the instrument clusters interchange able or is the milage stored on them
my 2011 has the white instrument cluster and I have always like the one in back and I found one but before I make the jump I want to make sure they are interchange able and my milage will stay true

2004 -2012 are digital clusters, called HEC
They are matched to the engine computer when new, so can't be swapped like the 2003 and older ones
If computer or cluster should breakdown a new cluster or computer can be swapped in but it requires programming to Match/Pair them again, so Ford Dealer
Look at the Forscan forum, that software may be able to do it
Also PATS(passive anti-theft system) is in the cluster 2004-2012 so you would also have to re-program your keys into the new cluster, Forscan can do that
There may be options to change the overlays or the bulb colors to change the look of current cluster
