New Instrument Cluster Question

While I was at the Pick A Part today getting a new DPFE sensor, I came across the 2003 silver instrument cluster I've wanted for quite some time. However, there were no bulbs in the cluster at all, so I need to know what the plastic piece is called to install some purple LEDs into the cluster. As a long time lurker of the forum this impossible question has brought me into membership in need of assistance. I thank everyone who responds in advance, godspeed.

Also should note, I have a 98 XLT with no tach, so my current cluster doesn't have enough pieces to fill up the new cluster.

Welcome to the forum

1996 to 2003 Ranger clusters are interchangeable

Your sockets will fit in the new cluster

Back light bulbs are 194s
Others are 74's, if memory serves

If you use LEDs they will only work one way, they have a + and a - unlike regular bulbs
So test to see if that all light up BEFORE securing the cluster, if some don't work just pull them out and reverse them

Beware
~ LEDs in several lamp circuits may glow dimly when they should be completely OFF.
~ LEDs may flicker when dimmed.
