Just bought this ranger that has been sitting for 3 years it has 70,923 original miles changed fuel pump ,fuel filter and started tune up. I replaced wire’s plugs cap and rotor button but now it want crank. I think it’s the wrong cap being the top of the rotor button was bent downward after trying to start it and broke a piece off of the button. It was running but now it want crank I’ve never had this happen before. Any help is appreciated.

Maybe cap is right but wrong rotor

May sure distributor shaft is not wobbly, bushings can wear out and cause shaft to spin off center(wobble) damaging rotor and cap
