Yeah, tell me about it. The first day and most of the second day of this ordeal was utter hell. It's been getting smoother as I go. Can't ask for much more than that at this point. Now that they have my notarized forms, they can start to figure out the details of this claim. I just have to write an affidavit on my account of the incident. After that it's just a negotiating game and I'm sure I'll be a pro @ phone tag when this is over.

That's the spirit man! After all this you'll have so much more knowledge so if anyone else goes thru something like this, you'll be able to help. There is good in everything if we chose to see it.

Optima just set up an appt to get their adjuster here Monday morning. Meanwhile, esurance just sent me an email stating that my affidavit is a special form of their's that he neglected to send me the first time. Now I have to print that, fill it out, and go back to the notary. I'm starting to become discontent again....Still no word on when esurance is sending an adjuster out.

sold in no time, yes....disassembled in no time, no

i've heard everything from my bed and tailgate to transfer case to seats. I'm gonna have to buy a torx set to get most of this stuff off. i've had offers for my skid plates, rear axle, aluminum drive shaft, front suspension, bottom end engine parts, entire interior, doors, rear sliding glass, the list goes on and on.

You get that thing back and i'll bring all my tools out to help you get everything all disassembled and the like. Plus if there are guys in western PA wanting some parts i can haul them back this way so you won't have to drive as far. I'm here to help bud. You have my number still i think. I'm off work all next week.

It's good to know that there are ppl willing to help this situation. I just wish my insurance company would treat me the same way. Thanks for the support guys.

Again, I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to keep the truck or be able to buy it back. Everything is still up in the air til my ins comp gives me some definite answers. Right now they're like "well one of ten things can happen here...". I've talked to a ford adjuster friend and he said I could buy it back for $2g's if I hold my ground on it. He said there's alot of good parts but $2g's is about all they'd get from an auction, $3g's tops. Once my insurance company gets their heads out of their a$$es, you guys will be the first to know.

Yellow top is a deep cycle battery whereas a red top is a starting/all purpose battery.

Not much better unless you're a serious offroader (shock proof) or have serious aftermarket parts running in your truck i.e. winch, offroad lights, stereo system, or other high draw electronics. I've had mine run my system for six or seven hours on end(engine off), ran completely dead, give it a jump, and it's good as new. I've done it several times.
