OD on off button in gear shifter...

so, my 2001 ranger, 154,000 miles had issues with a loose gear shifter handle. a shop just fixed it for me. now the button that turns OD on/off don't work. should I be worried about this or not waste my time telling the shop about it? 3.0 V6 if that matters.

it seems to drive and shift ok. no idea now whether its on or off. I always left it on.

The button wire goes to Computer, not the dash light
The dash light is controlled by the computer, obviously when you press the button computer will get that signal and change light status

So could be wire from button to computer is no longer connected, OD on is default setting for computer, each time you turn off and on the key OD on will be selected, so no worries until you want to shut OD off.
Which usually only happens when pulling a load or going up a long grade and trans keeps shifting back and forth between 4th and 5th

Since it was working before I would take it back for them to check that all wires got reconnected

Just FYI this setup is called Transmission Control Switch, not OD button switch, although looking up either can get correct info
