Oil for Tranny and Differential -- 1985

Hello All,

In looking at my manual, it doesn't specify what weight oil to use in the Manual Transmission or Differential, guessing something like 80W-90?

Thanks

Seb.

Yes, on the older Rangers 80-90w gear oil would be correct for manual trans and differential

Rangers did get the M5OD-R1 manuals in 1988 on the 4cyl 2WD models, and 3.0l and 4.0l V6s, in 1990/1, these used ATF, yes automatic trans fluid in a manual, lol
The 2.9l always used the older manuals that had gear oil up to 1992, last year for 2.9l
