Planned Obsolescence
Gotta hand it to the Ford engineers for perfecting the art of planned obsolescence! All four door handles on my 16 year old truck ('03 Crew Cab) have broken within just 3 months of each other! Saved the driver's door for last. Gotta climb in thru the passenger side until I can get it fixed.

Finally fixed it after 6 years of "living with it"
I replaced the tailgate handle with a metal one many years ago. Rock Auto seems to be only place with the regular door handles in metal, but they are $20 plus shipping. The plastic ones lasted 16 years and I doubt my truck will go for another 16 years, so I'll just get another plastic one for $7 with shipping from Amazon prime. The crazy part is that after all this time, all 4 door handles broke with a few months of each other. Plastic has gotten hard and brittle from the UV.
