I recently rolled my 2008 Ford Ranger and after getting started, cut the roof off so It could be drivable because it was caved in. It's like a go cart now with no roof, windshield or doors now. Now I'm debating whether I should just get a new cab or get a roll cage and make it like a Bronco build and get a custom soft top for comfortability. I'm not planning on rolling it again (not like I planned to do it the first time either though) so the roll cage is just to mimic a cab, not for protection. Anyone have any suggestions or advice? It somehow drives fine with little to no frame damage. What would be the process of installing a new cab vs just the roll cage? Anyone know any California laws I'd have to get around just driving w a roll cage? Also here are some photos of what it looked like after the accident and what it looks like now.
