That is definately not true at all. 6.0L Strokes run 13s all day with intake, exhaust and the right tuning! No joke.

 

I was driving about 15 min ago from the grocery store in my dads duramax. I was pulling up to this light with a mustang was sitting there. He looked like he wanted to race. The light turned green he took off. But I didnt race him because it wasnt my truck.

Should have but probaly made the smart choice.

well i should point out that i didnt need to drive down that particular road and was trying to see how deep of snow i could hit

and i have raced people in my dads 85 f250 before, i dont think he minds much but i dfeinitley wouldnt be doing it with him in the car

ive raced a few people in my dad's tundra. that thing has some giddy up in it!!

 

Seems like a certain someone has a little too much pride to lose. Also with a intake, chip and tuner getting into 13's with a diesel is easy all for under a grand too! Plus being able to hook up and tow the broken mustang home at the end of the night as well.

 

Tundra cant even be considered a truck.

Also gas is different than diesel by a long shot.

im not a fan either, but friend of mines dad owns an RV dealership.

After a v10 f350 dually, and a cheyenne 454 dually, the shop truck is now a tundra with the 5.7 and towing gears.

Again, i would never buy one because im generally a chev man when it comes to full size trucks, but dont knock the tundras.

 

They are one. But I dont consider them one. A SUV with a short bed is what I call them..

A RV dealership. Is there only rvs there or 5th wheels and stuff.

I do alot of work for my dad which is hauling around stuff with a gooseneck trailer and a 5th wheel. I cannot see a tundra towing a 5th wheel or a goose neck. If you have pictures I would like to see them.

 

i dont have a picture of it pulling a 5th wheel, but i will get some, it is equipped to do so.

 

Why just because it rides better than your Ranger? And it is going to last twice as long with half the problems?

I used to work for Yamaha, towing a 29 foot enclosed trailer with one. We used it for hauling atv's rhinos and bikes across the country to demo days. It regularly had 2 rhinos, 2 Grizzly's, and 2 Kodiak 450's and all of the gear (Helmets tents etc) to set up. That is like 7-8000 lbs. And remember it is only a half ton truck. And it was the 1st gens, not the big ones now. All it had was helper bags in the rear to help level it out. Any F150, or 1500 would need the same setup.

I personally put about 80,000 km in just over 6 months on that truck. And that is after it already had 100,000+ on it. There was not one single problem. Not one. And I am not known for being easy on the gas.

That 4.7 is fun let me tell you. All you need to do is ride in one, then form an opinion.

 

Rides better? My truck has 170000 miles on it. Nothing major ever done to it. Just recently replaced stock plugs and fuel filter. So your saying that the tundra will last 340000 miles with half the problems HIGHLY DOUBT that and my truck is still running good.

Yes I have never drivin one. But I my oppion a fullsize truck should be used for towing or using the bed offten. I havent see a tundra tow anything except jetskis.

 

So basically you have no real facts to back up your opinion. Look at the Sport Trac, that bed is tiny.

 

No but If I see a tundra towing something something decent my oppion will change.

And yes I will say that it will last atleast that long. Go look on craigslist or autotrader. Look up any old toyota pickup. I guarantee that there will be some with 300,000+ miles on them. And they are still running strong. There is a reason there are so many wheelers that use them
Toyotas are one of the best and most dependable trucks around. Face it.

^^ Toyota makes some good trucks. The tacos are one the best compact trucks ever. I love them. Just not a fan of the fullsizes yet.
