Sometimes persistenece pays off!

About a month back I found a guy with an 02 XLT 4x4 he was parting out. I wanted the interior trim to finish my grab handle mod. After telling me to come out the next weekend, he disappears to Mexico for 3 weeks. I just got a call from his kid that I could come and look at the parts.

Long story short he is putting a 55 dodge onto the frame and he stripped everything else. He had crap laying every were and I wasn't even able to find the trim peices. There are a lot of good parts sitting in boxes at his place. BTW it was a manual twin stick so if someone is looking for shifter boots or ***** etc it was all there.

The trip wasn't a total waste as I found something I didn't think I'd every come across, plus he is due back Weds so I am going to call him to find out if he does actually have the parts.

Now onto the pics, its time to play spot the mod.

Nice find man! Go get those boot and shifters, you can probably re-sell them on here for quite a bit of money!

Yes receiver and d ring is better than pulling on one side of the frame with and open loop if you ask me. But if you got free stuff you can't complain.

I wasn't knocking it but he has a hitch and wondered why he wouldn't use that instead of the FX4 rear tow hook. I think it would be safer for both parties to use a clevis.

It likely would be safer. I don t have a clevis for the back. For a light stuck it would ok. Plus you can add a tow rope and pull a tobbogan anround the fields with it. lol.

Plus I am basically turning my truck into an XLT Edge so any little extra that they had on them I'll put on If I can find it.
