i had no idea rangers ever came with sunroofs

 

Yep. I went to the beach (and took the wife shopping) to look at an 88. It had a sunroof, nice plush red interior and bucket seats with rectangular holes in the headrests, lumbar adjustment, etc.

I'd've bought it (4wd, manual txfr case, but auto trans), but the whole underside was flat out rotten from the salt. Not worth my time, unless it was free. The tranny was bad.

 

i doubt thats factory, it looks so cheap, its probly aftermarket

 

It is not factory but I would take one though.

 

you can get some really nice aftermarket ones too

 

There's never been a sunroof offered from the factory in a Ranger no matter what the year.

 

i had one in my 88 ranger and it was a nice feature (it was aftermarket). has anybody put one in a newer ranger. i would concider it but would first like to see one.

 

Back in 2000 I designed one for the extended cab ranger. We even made a prototype and stuck it in a employees new truck.

Can't say I've ever seen that it made production. Too bad too. It was significantly larger than what you can get in the aftermarket.

i love the power sunroof in mine! it only slides back half way though so it doesn't flop around from the wind.

 

I believe some people have put the Explorer sun roof/moon roof in their Ranger before. I think Brenton(Edge_Wannabe) had one in his SFA'd Mazda.

 

i like those sliding ragtop style.

 

You know...that truck in the ad sorta looks like RockinRobin's truck before it got repoed or whatever...this was like 3 years ago though, and his had a-pillar spot lights. The truck looks exactly like the ad. crazy.
