I have a 1990 xlt 2.9 2x4 and it Really needs a suspension overhaul.
could o get some feedback on where a beginner mechanic would start?
I have already changed out the plugs and wires, starter, front brake lines and the water pump. That’s the extent of my skills and looking to keep going and the suspension is still manufactures.

1990 2WD will have TIB(Twin I-Beam) front suspension

So what is the issues with front suspension?
Squeaks
Clunks
Feels "loose"
Bouncy(shocks)


Parts that wear out on the front of all vehicles are lower ball joints, wheel bearings and shocks

 

It rides like a go cart. Clunky.
