i cant find my sending unit on my 91 ranger 2.3 liter

 

I have a '92, 2.3 and the temp sending unit is on the drivers side, near the oil filter. Note, the oil sending unit is also there. To make sure you got the right one, take the wire off, turn the key on, then ground the wire. The temp gauge will go high (as if the engine is hot) Same is true to test the oil sender.
